In Hades 2 players are introduced to new resources, including Silver. This precious metal plays a crucial role in crafting equipment, performing incantations, and unlocking various features. What is Silver?

Silver is a reagent item in Hades 2, described as "the namesake sacred metal of the Silver Sisters" that "gleams with the color of the Moon." It is a valuable resource that can be found while exploring the Underworld, specifically in the region of Erebus.

To mine Silver in Hades 2, players must first unlock the Crescent Pick. This tool can be obtained for just one Ash, so it is recommended to acquire it early in the game. Once the Crescent Pick is equipped, players can search for Silver ore deposits during their runs through Erebus.

These ore deposits appear as medium-sized rocks capped with silver and can be mined three times each, yielding a total of three Silver per deposit. Keep an eye out for these sparkling rocks while navigating the encounters in Erebus.

Using Silver in Hades 2

Silver has two main uses in Hades 2: performing incantations and crafting equipment.

1. Incantations: Silver is required for certain incantations that can be performed at the Cauldron in the Crossroads. These incantations offer various benefits, such as unlocking merchants and tools, enhancing healing mechanics, and modifying boon-related gameplay aspects.    • Woodsy Lifespring: Requires 3 Silver and 1 Moly. Reveals a hidden glade in Erebus where players can restore some healing.
2. Crafting Equipment: Silver is used as a crafting material at the Silver Pool to create powerful equipment for Melinoe. Some examples of equipment that require Silver include:
   • Sister Blades: Requires 1 Silver
   • Silver Spade: Requires 10 Silver
   • Tablet of Peace: Requires 5 Psyche and 5 Silver
   • Umbral Flames: Requires 3 Silver and 3 Cinder
