How to Make Honey in Manor Lords?
Learn how to make Honey in Manor Lords along with it's uses.
Manor Lords is a strategy game that allows players to build and manage settlements. One important aspect of the game is food production. Honey is a valuable food resource that you can craft in the game. In this guide, you will find all the information you need to know about how to make Honey in Manor Lords and how to use it for the benefit of your settlement.
Unlocking Beekeeping
To get honey, players must first unlock the Beekeeping Development branch in the Technology Tree. This requires spending a Development Point on the corresponding node. Once Beekeeping is researched, the Apiary becomes available under the Gathering tab of the Building menu.
Building an Apiary is the next step. Each Apiary requires 2 Planks to construct. The surrounding region can support up to 2 Apiaries by default. It is important to note that building additional Apiaries beyond this limit will not increase honey production. Apiaries have 4 worker slots and do not require any raw materials to function.

Distributing Honey
Once the Apiary is built and staffed, honey will be automatically distributed to the citizens using food carts. Having multiple food types like honey is crucial because it can help players upgrade their Burgage Plots and maintain a content population.
If players have a surplus of Regional Wealth, they can opt to build a Trading Post and import Honey directly. This can help supply Honey to Burgage Plots, especially if the settlement already has 2 Apiaries. The cost to import Honey is 13 Regional Wealth per unit. Players can also acquire the Trade Logistics and Better Deals development nodes to open new trade routes and get discounts on export prices.
In addition to producing honey, Apiaries can also produce Wax if the Advanced Beekeeping option is researched in the Beekeeping development branch. Wax is a useful resource for crafting.

Uses of Honey
Honey is not only distributed as food but also used to upgrade Burgage Plots. Burgage Plots require a varied food supply among other requirements to qualify for an upgrade. Players can also export Honey to gain more Regional Wealth. Prices may fluctuate depending on the supply and demand within a given territory.
To succeed in Manor Lords, it is recommended to focus on getting a reliable honey source early on. Making Beekeeping a priority and building Apiaries in each region will give players plenty of different food options and help their settlement thrive.
