In the city-building game Manor Lords, managing resources is crucial for the growth and prosperity of your settlement. However, leaving supplies out in the open can lead to a major problem known as "Exposed Goods." These unprotected resources are vulnerable to weather effects, especially rainfall, which can quickly ruin food and materials. This guide will explain what Exposed Goods are and provide solutions to keep your resources safe in Manor Lords.

Exposed Goods refer to any supplies or resources that are not stored in proper storage buildings. These items can be found on the ground, often near the tents of your townspeople when starting a new game. Additionally, when you relocate or demolish buildings, the resources they hold will also be dropped as Exposed Goods.

Depending on the difficulty setting you choose, Exposed Goods can be destroyed by weather events such as rain. In the Balanced difficulty, supplies become soaked and may be destroyed when the next rain comes. On the Challenging difficulty, the rain will instantly destroy any Exposed Goods.

How to Store and Protect Exposed Goods

To keep your resources safe from the elements, follow these steps:

Step Action
1 Prioritize building a Granary and a Storehouse as your first two storage buildings.
2 Connect your storage buildings to Exposed Goods using roads to speed up the delivery process.
3 As your settlement grows, upgrade your Granary and Storehouse to Large versions for increased capacity.
4 Build additional storage buildings and dedicate each one to specific resource types to reduce travel time.
5 To quickly clean up clutter from demolished or relocated buildings, temporarily reduce the work area of storage buildings to focus on that spot and assign extra workers.

The Granary is essential for storing and protecting food items, while the Storehouse is used for all other resources. By constructing these buildings early on and connecting them to Exposed Goods via roads, you can ensure that your resources are quickly gathered, stored, and distributed by your villagers.

As your settlement expands, upgrading your storage buildings to Large Granaries and Large Storehouses will provide a significant increase in capacity, allowing you to store up to 2,500 units in each. If you find yourself still needing more space, consider building additional storage buildings and assigning each one to specific resource types to optimize your villagers' travel time.
